Period Elements - Georgian Collectables Project

In this project, I found it really challenging to design a set using identified elements of the Georgian era other than the architectural designs, as architectural details were a major part of the Georgian aesthetic, but also that the Georgian era was so varied in styles across the time period. However, I found it all really interesting to delve into for my research, and I learned a lot about the history and culture of the time. I chose to focus my project on 2 major design elements: William Hogarth's paintings and engraved prints. Instead of building a physical model, I instead chose to go with a SketchUp 3D model with textures added later on in Photoshop as I felt that the time constraints made it difficult to achieve what I wanted to show in terms of having the walls and interior architecture of the studio painted like the texture of an engraved print.
